510 or eGo? Understanding Vaporizer Threading.

When you mix and match atomizers and batteries you always want to make sure you are getting two compatible devices. Knowing a little bit about vaporizer threading can help you be a happy shopper. When picking a vaporizer there are several types of vaporizers and parts we sell:

eGo thread
510 thread
601 (Atmos) thread
there are also some devices with unique form factors.

Understand a few differences can be helpful.

eGo and 510 are thread types used on some vaporizers.

eGo’s can accept BOTH eGo and 510 devices because the inside of an eGo thread is a 510 thread.

you can put any eGo or 510 device onto an eGo battery.

You can NOT put all eGo devices into 510 batteries. In some cases you can screw on a eGo to a 510 device but it doesn’t always work. Often it is underpowered. There are 510 to eGo adapters to make to process easier but it is generally for Mods or devices that can handle an eGo cartomizer/clearomizer

There are also several other standards used by companies, like 601 (Atmos).

If you are buying a vape pen battery and atomizer that arent packaged together always check to make sure you have an atomizer that will fit the thread of your battery  (i.e. if you have a eGo threaded atomizer make sure you are getting a battery that is eGo threaded). This will save you a lot of frustration.
