The chamber surrounds the cartridge and will provide you up to 90 seconds of preheating. You can remove the chamber if you like, and Vapmod includes a beauty ring that makes the unit look nicely finished without the chamber. The Xtube 710 has a 510 thread connection meaning you screw the cartridge directly into the unit which eliminates that annoying wiggle with magnetic connections.
